Israeli Families Join Members of Congress to Ask for
Red Cross Access to MIAs

On Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:00PM at the Senate Swamp, Senator Charles Schumer (NY) and Congressman Joseph Crowley (NY-07) will be joined by family members of Israelis who have been taken hostage by Hezbollah troops during the recent intifada, and are currently being held in Lebanon. Congressman Crowley is sponsor of a resolution calling on the governments of Syria, Iran and Lebanon, the patron states of Hezbollah, to allow the International Committee on the Red Cross (ICRC) access to the MIAs to assess their health and well-being. Seventy members of the House have cosponsored the Crowley Hezbollah resolution. Senator Schumer will introduce a similar resolution in the Senate on May 2nd.
