HEADLINE: Prisoners' list to be published 48h. in advance

BYLINE: JPOST.COM STAFF

The list of 400 prisoners who are to be released on Thursday is expected to be published Monday evening on the Prisoner Service website.

The publication will be made at least 48 hours before the swap is due to begin, in order to enable families or organizations to petition to the High Court of Justice against the release of specific prisoners.

Israel is to follow the principal that prisoners "with blood on their hands" would not be released.

Army Rabbinate arrived at the cemetery for enemy bodies in northern Israel Monday morning to take out of graves the bodies of 59 slain men, mostly Lebanese, who died in combat with Israel in south Lebanon, Army Radio reported.

The bodies are expected to be handed over to the Lebanese on Thursday, through the Rosh Hanikra border point, at the western edge of the border with Lebanon.

The family of IAF navigator Lt.-Col. Ron Arad said that if there is evidence that Ron is no longer alive, they would not demand the State of Israel to release prisoners in exchange for his body.

Senior Israeli negotiator Maj.-Gen. Ilan Biran is to leave to Germany Monday, to finalize last details.
