Annan promises to return effects of MIAs

Relatives of the Israeli soldiers who were kidnapped on the border with Lebanon and recently declared dead by the IDF, met with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, who told them that his special envoy to the Middle East, Terje Larsen, would show them the videotape made by UNIFIL soldiers after the kidnapping last year.
Annan also promised to deliver the personal effects of the three soldiers, found by UNIFIL troops near Har Dov, where the kidnapping took place.
Annan and his wife took part in the lighting of the first Hanukkah candle at the Oslo synagogue, conducted by the Avraham, Avitan and Tenenbaum families, whose loved ones are missing in Lebanon.
Annan promised he would do all in his power to help them.
